So, I have noticed that when the temp is below like 65 degrees F, and I start the car remotely, when I get in it the seat heater and the heated steering wheel are on.

Not that anything is wrong with this happening, I kinda like it but is this programmable - is this normal?

I don't think it is temperature related... mine came on in the summer. There is a setting within the display menu to turn them off.

Yeah, they turn on by themselves only on cooler mornings. Never otherwise. Maybe after sitting all night or something..... weird

Yes, definitely temperature related for the remote start. If it’s cold outside it will turn on the heater, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. Very nice!

Thank you. I figured it's some kind of setting that's allways on or something. I think it's great to tell the truth. Will be very nice when it's freezing outside, soon enough.

I was in Strasburg VA this morning. It was around 40 and remote start did all that stuff. Nice.

It's a setting in your vehicle options. You can set the climate control settings to be based on outside temp or last settings used for remote start.

My cooling seats were going using key fob auto-start during the past few weeks. Mild days, top down, etc. This week was a 50 degree morning and I was surprised the steering wheel was warm. And seat heater was on. Haven't studied enough to understand why it's happening but it was a pleasant surprise.

It is not a pleasant surprise for me.

58 degrees, I come out of the gym all sweaty and hot and the stupid steering wheel is hot and the seat is hot, and I am thinking, WTH???

Then they keep getting hotter while I am looking for how to turn them off and turn the seat cooler off.

I don't mind them turning on if it is in the 20s. I do not want them turning on when it is 58 degrees, and I am already hot and sweaty.

How do I adjust the temperature where they kick on so I can say it is nice and a pleasant surprise, too?

Lol. Read the manual bro. It's in the remote start settings.

Lol, was gonna post that too... I guess if the interior temp is below 72 the heated seats and wheel come on? Doesn't really say... Mine came on in summer too. (probably 58 outside as well) wasn't expecting that so I turned it off.

My seats are set to last used, so they are on all the time. If they are too hot or too cold, it only takes two button presses to change the temp. Mine were on max cool all summer. Yesterday, going to my Mustang club meeting, I had to switch to heat. It was 55° and I was shaking from the cold. I wouldn't put the top up, but the double whammy on my lower forty wasn't helping. It may be obvious, but the steering wheel indicator is either on or off and doesn't come on unless the temp drops. Mine is always in the on position. Glenn
