I got quoted around 3000$ just to get a cat delete on my 2024 mustang gt, since it’s built into our manifold. As for installing longtubes it’s 3000$ plus the cost of the headers. This seems a little pricey? I’m wondering what you guys have gotten similar work done for.

Does that include the headers and the exhaust out to the tips? If so not bad if its just to install your headers nope.

Nope I already got a borla catback so it’s just the headers

So you have the headers but just need them installed most shops charge about 700 to 1200 to install headers depends on the shop the s650 is a bit different with that idiotic cant replace the cats manifolds. So it might be a bit more but not 3k territory.

yeah they were telling me it’s 235/hr and it’ll take them over 14 hours total

8 hours is what a real shop that knows how to do them charges labor for.

$1200 is about average cost. Less is suspect and more means they dont want to do it.

This is only one shop, right?

And that includes the cost of the materials, too, or is this just $3k in labor?

I just paid this out; install cost me $1080+ tax. So, whatever the headers, o2 extenders etc. cost, add on to the 1-1.5k-ish.

so all in, I did about 3300 total for catted headers with cat delete merge pipes installed.

The sound is a little unrefined, as you might expect and I have it running into the stock resonator & mufflers with active exhaust. Quite mode doesn't sound bad, but, sport and track are raspy at times. It's a 'good' sound, of course, but not in the same way that a screaming Ferrari sounds good. I put some db readings in the long tube headers thread. I am already turning heads from hundreds of yards away, so I don't need any more volume.

If you are _really_ gentle with the throttle it will be reasonable but once you cross 2k things get loud quickly in normal, sport or track. A moderate take off in sport mode, hitting about 4500 rpm got me 95db in cabin, windows up.

yeah, I’ll be asking around other shops thanks for the clarity on pricing. And yeah that’s only labor it’s pretty crazy

Yes sir that’s exactly what I want, I got an H pipe with Borla S type mufflers at the moment.

2nd opinion, that’s a ridiculous price.
I paid 1k at a mustang specialty shop. Brought in the headers (new kooks)

3k is like saying… F off, I don’t want to do it.
