Has anyone replaced the 4 piston front brakes with 6 piston? how about the rear ones?
Where did you get the brakes from ? Did you have to change rotors as well?

I did it on my S550. I found take off Brembo calipers from the Shelby Auctions eBay seller. Yes it required larger rotors, I believe 15" compared to 14" for the 4 piston calipers.

There are new brake kits from various sellers like this one:

@MidwayJ thanks. I was looking into that kit along with the other one form steeda https://www.steeda.com/steeda-555-6030-s550-brembo-pp-front-brake-upgrade-kit . Steeda suggests changing the lines as well and also claim that their package will fit in 18 in wheel (it also come with G loc pads).
Did you have the 4 piston Brembo ones? Is the difference in stoping behavior very different?
On the S550 there weren't any 4 piston Brembos. I think they were made by Continental. Stopping power was actually pretty decent but they overheated more quickly. I upgraded my brake lines to steel braided ones. Pics of a base 4 piston GT brake and the Brembo replacement.

There are multiple brake kits available for this conversion. We at Steeda have multiple kits. Ford Performance does as well. As far as the rears, the Performance Package cars and the Non-Performance package cars have the same rear brakes. Feel free to message me or email me at [email protected]. I can walk you through the different options!

What model year are you looking at? The rear on the non PP GT use floating calipers (not brembo), The PP cars use fixed brembo calipers... so not the same at all.

I apologize for the confusion. What I said is true for the S550. That being said, we are running the S550 Front brakes on our 2024 HPDE car. This has allowed us to run an 18" wheel on the track. Less rotating mass and a much larger selection of tires.
