Gas Guzzler Tax

I just saw a post on Facebook where a Mustang is being built this week and their window sticker shows no charge for the gas guzzler tax and also shows the mileage increased from 17 to 18 combined. Are those of us who already paid the $1000 tax just out of luck? Yes, this is for a 6-speed manual.

Looks like a company will be making a device that will plug into it and permanently disable start/stop. So not a big deal.

Yep, once you bought the car the deal is done.

Looks like a company will be making a device that will plug into it and permanently disable start/stop. So not a big deal.

You don't need a device, you can turn it off in Forscan.

GM/Dodge had the decency to put a forced 1st-4th shift into their trans to 'cop' to EPA nonsense. Which was trivial to disable, or drive around by using some actual throttle in 1st gear instead of driving like grandma without her glasses.

I reached out to ford about this because that’s BS that same model year and now there is no gas tax. They said contact your dealer sales manager. I’m gonna do it. Worst they refuse but if you don’t ask you won’t know

I know. Atleast it can be turned off permanently and you save 1,000 on gas guzzler. Otherwise I would not buy the car.
