My 2024 EC Premium had the 'trot' when I first got it. It did so when the door was first opened. Now, with several software updates, the only time I hear it, is when the key is in the ignition and I open the door.

As I've mentioned before, record the sound, put it into QuickTime or other recording app. Copy it several times, and speed it up about four times. What you hear is straight out of a Hopalong Cassidy radio program from the late 40s early 50s. (Yes I'm that old!)

Hold on... Your car has an ignition that you put the key into? Are the EC's that different from the GT's that they have rolled back that feature? I mean my '04 Explorer has it and I used it most of my life, but now?

My EB super base model 100A equipment group does not have a key IN the ignition. I think Alan might have meant "while the car is on" (or at least in accessory mode)

an indicator is out. the vehicle does this hyperflashing pattern when it thinks that one of the indicators is malfunctioning by either pulling too much or too little current.

OK, that mystery is solved, but now I kind of wish that the new Mustang did let the driver choose from a menu of chime sounds, including some "horsey" sounds.
