Well said, unpopular opinion: a 4 cylinder does not belong in a Mustang, they made it to make money out of those who can't afford the proper V8 and still want to be in a Mustang body.

Not the intention to annoy others, but I never saw the point of buying a muscle car with a 4-cyl, What's a single logical reason to go for Ecoboost instead of GT that is not cost related (car price / gas / maintenance)β Canβt afford a v8β false but thx for trying to sh@t on fellow Mustang owners
Well, now we have two trolls who like to shit on other peoples cars.Well said, unpopular opinion: a 4 cylinder does not belong in a Mustang, they made it to make money out of those who can't afford the proper V8 and still want to be in a Mustang body.
There are a few possible reasons, so in no particular order, and some of these might be tongue-in-cheek.Not the intention to annoy others, but I never saw the point of buying a muscle car with a 4-cyl, What's a single logical reason to go for Ecoboost instead of GT that is not cost related (car price / gas / maintenance)
Yeah as expected, not a single proper reason. Also, am not dissing boosted rides, i do love 4-cyl turbo cars and owned a lovely WRX STI for years that's a beast. But that's where 4-cyl belong, not inside a muscle car. There are a few possible reasons, so in no particular order, and some of these might be tongue-in-cheek.
- it's a better sports car and a poorer muscle car
- you're from a different culture where you aren't used to V8s burbling past
- you like annoying GT owners
- 480hp (486hp, 500hp) is way more intimidating than 315hp
- don't want the cool GT and want the uncool EcoBoost
- all your friends have iPhone and you have Android
- you like the sound of a turbocharger spooling up
- your HOA will fine you for a loud exhaust
- you don't like Coyote ticking sounds
- feels good (performant) enough
- you prefer the less aggressive look
- you value your license more than going fast
- lower fuel consumption translating into longer range for road trips
Hopefully you learn proper time and place when to respond. Youβre responding in a thread for ecoboosts, specifically talking about ecoboost tuning options like ENTHUSIASTS.Yeah as expected, not a single proper reason. Anyway, to each his own view, we're in 2026, hopefully less people get offended by others expressing opinions.
Did the original secretaryβs car exhibit Schwarzenegger style?Yeah as expected, not a single proper reason. Also, am not dissing boosted rides, i do love 4-cyl turbo cars and owned a lovely WRX STI for years that's a beast. But that's where 4-cyl belong, not inside a muscle car.

Don't act innocent and play the offended card dude. You came to an eco thread and trashed the car. You've basically derailed the thread and are doubling down on the trolling. There is no reason to keep posting and blaming other people for their reactions to your trolling.Yeah as expected, not a single proper reason. The turbocharger whistles when building or reducing boost - it's more obvious when gently building power and once you're heard it, it's easy to hear it again, at least in my experience.Got me thinking of the GT now. I like the clean looking hood on the ecoboost. The GT hood actually help with cooling? Guessing its not ram air induction with that thing.
Turbo sound.......... We get that with our cars? I don't hear even a hint of it with my car. Noise cancelling speakers in car? The turbo keep going through the gears in my car, so loud blow-off may not be needed as much. But, would like to hear some whine when its winding up good.
Yes, absolutely.Got me thinking of the GT now. I like the clean looking hood on the ecoboost. The GT hood actually help with cooling?
Lol. Its for cooling and aero. The GT has ram air in the grille. Goes right into the dual airboxes.Guessing its not ram air induction with that thing.
