That makes sense, target the younger crowd
They did mention it was supposed to be affordable. Who knows what that'll actual translate to with IRL pricing, but the package looks to have some pretty sweet parts lumped in.

Mustang Cobra is retàrded, one is a horse, the other is a snake. From an evolutionary standpoint they’re not even close, whereas Dark Horse at least matches the model name. Much like if the had a special edition Granada , M67, or the “Brett” Maverick, and so on.

I’m sure legions of boomers pine for the Shelby moniker, but what has Shelby the company actually contributed to late model Mustangs beyond the nameplate?
You're being serious?

So because a Mustang, the animal, is a horse, every name in succession should have a connection to a horse?

You realize Dark Horse is a synonym for an underdog, sleeper or long shot, and has nothing to do with an actual horse right? Ford literally chose to name a model as a long shot. SMH

Sure. Thats why the Dark Horse logo is of a horse, even though it has nothing to do with a horse. Nice try though. 🤣🤣🤣

I mean technically the car replaced the horse so why call a car a horse… Mustang??

I’m not smart enough to outsmart anyone but I’m just stupid enough to out stupid people…

Shelby has just been a name/badge since the early 70's. Doesn't really translate anymore to a majority of buyers.
You do realize that in 2007 people were paying $25,000 over MSRP for a new GT500 right? The base model in 07 had an MSRP of $41,995. It has cachet galore! I don't think I have ever seen a Shelby on a dealer lot that wasn't marked up above MSRP which I do not agree with. They all had A(sshole) D(ealer) M(arkup)s on them. To this day used Shelby GT500s from 2007-2014, 2020-2022 all sell for the MSRP they sold for new. GT350s from 2015-2020 do the same. They hold their value insanely well!
