I can understand why there is no digital display on the cobra instrument choice, but why does it not display the gear selected.?

Same as Fox Body, manuals didn't get gear indicator, something I hope they'll add later.

If you know how to drive a manual you don’t need a gear indicator as it should be in your right hand
I know I know but for some reason I like the gear indicator. Maybe it's traffic or a winding road but I like being able to see what gear I am in.

I rarely ever say anything because I really don't feel like dealing with the trolls, but some of y'all are never going to be satisfied with anything Ford does. I drive a 65 F100 with a three on the tree (among other vehicles). No gear shift indicator and no tachometer. You learn to drive it the old school way...by feel and sound. If you need a gear indicator then I guess you should've bought an automatic. You could blindfold me, put me in my S650, shift into any gear, and I could tell you exactly which gear it's in...even reverse. Stop griping about every little thing and just enjoy the car! It has 7 instrument clusters. If you can't find one you like then I don't know what to tell you. I guess you can't be satisfied. Anyone remember the days when you only got whatever one cluster they gave you and that was it (should be all of us because many cars made today still only have one)? This new Mustang is amazing and I love the throwback clusters even if they aren't perfect replicas.

Some of y'all will call me a Ford fanboy and that's fine. I do not care. No car is perfect, but this one sure is fun. The added cluster themes add to the experience along with some retro nostalgia. Just drive the car and enjoy it. We don't need thread after thread about how this cluster doesn't have this or that. Don't like the cluster? There are 6 more to choose from.

Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that out.

THIS! And they’re not meant to be perfect replicas, they’re replicas of the older style gauges integrated into the modern car.

Well stated.

I also grew up on manuals (in South Africa). But they were 3 speeds or 4 speeds. I am now in my 70s so my hearing and other senses are worse. Further I have gotten used to the hear display. I cannot easily hear or feel the difference between 3rd and 4th. And if there is no tire pressure display that is a problem for me
