Comparatively.

"Out of 26 eligible brands, Ford achieved a score of 48 out of 100 and a ranking of 11th. It was far better than Jeep, which scored just 28 and ranked 24th, behind all brands other than Rivian. Ford and Jeep were both well off the pace of Japanese carmakers like Toyota, Subaru, and Lexus, which occupied the top 3 spots.

In the most recent study, which takes into account all powertrain types, Ford's F-150 Hybrid and Escape Hybrid demonstrated impressive gains in reliability. There was also an above-average rating for the Bronco Sport. Jeep had no impressive performers, with particularly poor scores for the Gran Cherokee and Grand Cherokee PHEV."

I've always taken these surveys with a grain of salt. The owner reported ones don't seem to differentiate between a minor glitch that doesn't affect the running of the vehicle and an engine going bang.

My wife's 2024 has been a great vehicle. It has had one recall from what I can remember.

"Ford doesn't suck as much as Jeep.", is the underlying theme of the article.

Comparing Ford, any vendor, to a Jeep is a pretty low hurdle to cross.

While Ford has a top initial quality, its long-term dependability is 19th out of 28. "...both brands were in the bottom third."

Ford is planning on fielding an EV truck, the Fathom. Looks like a 4-door Mustang is all but assured. Dealers are taking orders for the DHSC. Getting these to market while attempting to improve quality brand-wide will make operations more challenging still.

I think it's too soon to tell what fruit Ford's latest QC initiative will bear.

I wish Ford and every other manufacturer well.

Saying a Ford is better than a Fiat/SCA/Chrysler whatever their corporate name is this week is not something to brag about

We suck less than Jeep !!!!!

Now that is a genius marketing campaign

Can't comment on MGs....................."but" I had a girl friend in the mid '80s who, for whatever reason, decided owning a used high mileage Triumph whateveritwas was good idea.

It wasn't.

I'm sure many of you have heard the old joke about Brit (i.e. Joseph Lucas aka The Prince of Darkness) electrics. That unreliable POS Triumph sure didn't do anything to prove the joke untrue. One darn electric gremlin after another............................and getting parts was real easy too. Or NOT!
