My GT is an active exhaust with a resonator delete H pipe, I’m still debating if getting an axle back will make that much of a different over the stock active exhaust mufflers (it’s difficult to tell over videos)? Like flowmaster outlaws for example, and if so I’m looking for some suggestions I’d like to keep the active exhaust functioning. Deep tone rather than raspy as well.

Seemingly, everybody wants suggestions to resonator deletes, X pipes, H pips, double H pipes, et. al. I don't own a GT, but if I did, I'd replace the resonator with a pair of glass packs!

I think you misunderstood, my gt is an active exhaust with resonator deleted h pipe I’m just looking for suggestions on an axle back and if getting an axle back really makes a big different or not as I can’t tell from videos.

I do understand your quest. There are, however, a large bunch of alternatives like the ones I used to use, 60 years ago! Heck, I wonder how many late modelers even know what a glass pack is?

If you want, try long tubes with glass packs and then turn downs (header, glass pack, turn down. - hint gonna be loud).

Op: since you’ve already removed the resonator (main noise suppression device) but would like to keep the active function for the ‘mufflers’, the more packing in the mufflers the deeper the sound will be.

Do you wanna change the tone or just make it louder?

the tone is already deep I just want it a bit louder while keeping the active exhaust working, a few people suggested me to get flowmaster outlaws which come with valves

The valves won't do anything the outlaws are basically just muffler deletes

Or my bad did you mean they’d be so loud that the valves won’t make a difference?
Yeah if the valves are closed it'll just all go out the other pipe that doesn't have any meaningful muffer if any at all

any suggestions for an axle back that’ll be louder while retaining the deep sound in sport and track mode and quiet mode would be quiet?
