Does 10 speed S650 convertible drive much differently to 2018-2023 FN S550 convertible?

Hi Members,
Please share your impressions of how they drive differently. Please comment on ride ( non magnaride },smoothness, refinement, handling, steering, exhaust ,Thank you very much for your appreciated opinions as it will help me to decide to either keep my 2023 S550 convertible or buy a S650.
Please note that there are no S650's available for a test drive in Perth.

Stangfan333,

I had a 2023 5.0 vert and currently a 24 5.0 with PP and magnaride. My opinion is the 24 feels more rigid and grounded opposed to the 23. The 23 felt floatier and lighter. The magnaride activates when you select the appropriate mode. In normal it's not active. The magnaride definitely make it ride stiffer and you don't feel the roll. The car feels more comfortable in the corners and I think it tracks way better. The steering seems to be about the same maybe a little more nimble on the 24. The active exhaust is the way to go, sound is amazing. Good luck

I have a s650 vert with PP +Magnaride. My only gripe is not being able to change it, normal in normal sport in sport track in track. I believe Ford Performance website does offer a website to switch out the Magneride tuner in the back for a more cutomized aggressive suspension when wanted. That and a peddle commander to eliminate any lag in acceleration on normal mode (sport and track aren't so bad) are the only things i plan to add to mine. i did black out the tail lights, brake lights, reflectors, full ppf including top hood vent and front black gloss grille for a little extra $, and tint windows. imo unless you want to track it nothing else needed. Ford also sells a PP Performance Parts kit but I'm pretty sure almost everything in it already came with ours if you ordered PP at build, I still need to double check on that. It's definitely worth it to get, but mine came out to just under 68k. So unless you just love the top down, I'd get the same car in hardtop or go to DH if u can find one. Mine is race red with NPP and the hardtop fastback looks MEAN and sleek. Vert still looks good but definitely no comparison with the top up. But with top down on a perfect day, I'm happy with my decision.

I ordered the race, red convertible with the magna ride, but I still haven’t received it yet 10 months ago

I understand the MagnERide (for magnEtic) does also do some work in normal mode where it still reacts actively on steering input or bumps detected by the front wheels, just doesn't get as stiff as in sport modes.

Other than that, can't compare as I had a 2016 model with Bilstein shocks and springs and no active exhaust.
