I had the same thing happen. My car went in for a recall and when I went to pick it up, the hood and bumper were covered in paint chips and a few gouges. The dealer didn’t admit fault and said I must’ve got a few rock chips on the drive in. I went postal and then I showed a picture of the car when I dropped it off. They repainted the hood and replaced the bumper, then asked me to not come back. Damn crooks
Name and shame. Telling you not to return is beyond the pale.

I don’t want it “touched up” or repainted at a body shop—that could show up on Carfax and hurt resale value. I want a new OEM bumper, factory-painted if available, not some half-baked repair.
Why would you think a "touched up" bumper would show up on a Carfax, but replacing the ENTIRE bumper cover would not? LOL. I would expect the LATTER to show up and not the former due to the cost, TBH.

Hopefully, neither does, but you can't control what they report.

Sorry for your bad luck. Hopefully, all gets taken care of.

I was president of a company that built complex over the road/streets vehicles and we had an unwritten policy to not deal with people that went "postal" with us or were abusive with our employees. We worked with people to amicably solve problems but when customers became too hard to deal with, we literally gave them the 800 number of our competition and suggested they call them. We would rather our competiton have those kind of customers.

That’s wonderful, but if I bring a vehicle in with zero issues and you return the vehicle to me with damage, that’s not acceptable. When I bring it to your attention(thankfully I kept pictures, but didn’t tell them beforehand) and you make a ridiculous excuse that I must’ve hit some rocks on the way in, I’m not sure what else to do. I tried to do the right thing and act like an adult, but…
