Post away!

If people don't like something, who cares?! Just tell them: Hey, it's my car, my money, my choice, so bugger off ... or eat a bag of richards :cwl:
I agree…secretly they’re jealous…wishing they had a DH.👍

This Is truck country. Nobody cares about your little Mustang. Unless maybe you have something on the deck lid that means something to them …. GT. That means something. They don’t know what that the horse means.
I have a hard time believing this story lol. You're saying people literally chased you down MULTIPLE times because you have a Dark Horse? It's a $60,000 car not a $600,000 car...

From the way you worded your responses it seems more likely that people were confusing your car with an ecoboost because it didn't have the 5.0 and GT badges and this upset you. If that's your reason for doing it that's all fine and dandy but don't lie about it because then you get the confusion that this thread has created.

M & J, not trying to pile on but more like follow along, because these two statements seem contradictory.

...We noticed the strong attraction to those badges. Mostly by the TikTok generation. Mostly when we went to cities. And they mostly didn’t have clue about the car or Mustangs or ever often have a brain cell I could enlighten them with.
Mostly asking if it was a Hellcat or a Demon or whatnot. Dumb. Go away.
And your first post.

Where we come from, a Dark Horse is a very rare car, and I’m told everyone knows of the DH from Social Media.
If everyone knows "of the DH" from social media then why are they asking if it was a Hellcat or Demon?

Same as here. Been a member for 20 years, never posted only lurked. Not sure I could keep up with all the super egos :)
Always wanted a Vette, never took the plunge. Too old to get in and out comfortably now.

Where we come from, a Dark Horse is a very rare car, and I’m told everyone knows of the DH from Social Media. Our first several months with the first DH in Western Canada, we were constantly approached and badgered at every available opportunity to discuss the car. Not a fan. So we changed the badges to GT….. & now people just say “nice car” & walk on by. Very pleased with our decision. Has anyone else debadged their DH yet?

That is a first. I personally would not have done that. The Dark Horse badge design is really cool.

Absolutely. 11.9@117 and my daily driver. Only has 58,000 and looks and runs as good as new. Just added some new side stripes.

If I would have gotten a DH first thing I would have done is de-badged it and painted the front bumper.
I would not have done it for others though.
I'm just not a fan of the DH badges or the two-tone front bumper.

I would have loved to remove the fender 5.0 badges and put the darkhorse badge or one of those Coyote badges on the back end. Then realized I would have been upbadging with the DH and would have felt stupid telling people it's not a darkhorse every time I was asked.

Thought about painting them body color so they would blend in with the paint but wasn't convinced they wouldn't chip away over time. So ended up swapping them out to black and adding these inserts from tuffskinz.

I like it better, but not absolutely in love with it. I've searched high and low for other badges, but nothing "wows" me. I don't want wile e coyote silhouette's, not a fan. This will have to do for now. I've thought about the coyote plates in red, but that might be too much
