You IT boys will never get it...Prices are going crazy and wages have not kept up...Thats the problem and also Ford charging crazy amounts of money for a product that has not changed at all since the end of 2014 when the S550 came out...DH is just another name for Mach 1 and that car was already 15 grand overpriced compared to a SS1LE...The touchscreen inside means nothing but I guesss you guys like it because you look at those all day long anyways...LOL Like being at work driving the car...I rather would have seen less weight , a new chassis with neutral handling that rotates going into a turn and after 14 years of Coyote engine finally more bore to give it much needed bottom to mid range TORQUE !!! For $75K not too much to ask for !

Sorry dude, that's just not true. I retired a couple of years ago, but didn't work in anything like IT. I made more money every year I worked since the 70's. Someone said something earlier about life's choices. Everyone I know makes more money every year. Maybe time for a career change and you can start to catch up.

IT guys are pretty important to the modern workplace. We are all car enthusiasts so no need to bash people's professions.

I also love a good torquey V8 engine but the Mustang community LOVES the Coyote engine. They like how high it revs and they like how well it responds to boost. I think there will always be a place for big torque engines and also high revving ones. Mustang wouldn't be a Mustang if it was built with an engine like a 6.2 Hemi. Just not the personality of a Mustang.

I 100% agree on the S650 being too similar to the S550. The 550 chassis felt a generation behind what I had in my SS1LE and even my Mach 1 didn't seem as well sorted. I've not driven a DH or any S650 for that matter so maybe these guys that have one can comment on if the chassis is better or not or if it still feels a generation behind. I personally don't mind the big screens. I do mind the extra weight. 4000 pounds for a Mustang is really heavy to me. My Mach was 3850 ish and it felt like it had to labor hard in tight turns and rough surfaces at speed.

The chassis is the same so there is no rotation into turns so the front still understeers while the rear wants to oversteer masked by super sticky Trofeos...Unmasked when you drive it in the rain.
Still the heavy weight and overly tall first 3 gears.
Nothing against a higher revving DOHC engine but after 14 long years it would have been cool if Ford would have invested into a new block allowing bigger bore for getting the displacement up to 5.8 liters...Not only for sentimental reasons but this way the Coyote could combine low and mid range TORQUE with even higher rpm power which would have been great considering how heavy the S650 has become and how tall the gears are...Just saying in case some guys or gals at Ford take notes...LOL

After that last post I’m now rooting for FORD to destroke the coyote to a 4.6 just to spite people 😆
😂 Is there any truth to the rumor of some version of the 7.3L making it into a mustang? Be awesome if they offered it.

No, we had a test mule with the 3.5 eco boost/ raptor engine mated to a 10R80 … and it absolutely destroyed the GT350. But the car would’ve become too expensive and the idea was shelved from what I remember.

people aren’t ready to pay 120K for a V6 ecoboost mustang variant.
As “karguy” demonstrates.

I don't think the gears are too tall at all with the 3:73 rear. Hell, I had to tune my 2017 PP car to hit 60 in 2nd. Thats a pain in the ass. In the DH you are shifting into third at around 68mph. Its honestly where it should be, and stock for stock the acceleration of the two isn't close. I've read more complaints that the gearing is too short. To me they got it right, it's nice to downshift to 2nd if you want a quick jump from 55/60...instead of just laboring through third gear (which I had to do in my 17).

As far as large displacement motors go, Ford Guys don't want it and honestly Chevy and Dodge killed their larger displacement pony cars as they knew the emissions was going to be a nightmare to keep in line. Even Ford had to ride the struggle bus keeping the 5.0 within the parameters (See duel throttle bodies). Fords got the right recipe. If you want warrantied reliable ford stamped hellcat beating acceleration, you are 10K away.

I've never driven or ridden in a 1LE or a G6 Camero, but it's well documented that it was just an overall better chassis for track/spirited driving. Chevy did everything BUT make it irresistible.... I never at any time looked at one of those cars and said, "damn thats a sweet car". And for every generation the chassis was in advance the interior was two generations behind.
