I’m not sure if “poorly received” is the best way to describe it… it just seems like people expect something more. Hard to argue that it’s not basically the same as the Mach 1’s performance-wise. The styling has gotten mixed reactions too. Couple that with the price and those are two hurdles that probably eliminate some potential buyers.
I went to test drive one and was told only if we go over the numbers and you’re ready to buy so I said ok. They wanted my car with 5,500 miles and $1,000/mo. I’m paying $553/mo now so I told them it wasn’t worth double the payment for the same car.
I’m not saying it’s a bad car, in fact I think performance wise it’s a great car. Just saying IMO appearance and price may be why more people aren’t buying.
