Does anyone thing changing out my stock wheels 255/40/19 and 275/40/19 to 285/35/19 and 305/35/19 is a bad idea from fitment, or performance. Wheel heights are pretty much identical.

I wouldn't lower or adjjust the springs, as everything would remain stock with ride height.

It's obviosuly an investment, and I don't want to go down the wrong path.

Appreciate any input, both good and bad.

Going wider on wheels and tires better for performance ! Oem wheels can be pretty heavy as well, going down in weight on all four corners will also be a plus for performance !

That is a perfect Mustang fitment. I ran Mich PS4S up front and the Mich PSS out back (no PS4S in 305/35/19). My S550 with this setup..I will be running the same setup when my S650 arrives.

Well, you listed TIRE sizes, but not WHEEL sizes.
