Well Ford could get them. Plus just look at the magor exhaust companies they all seem to have black tips.Any idea where I can purchase Dark Horse black exhaust tips for my Mustang ? Mine are are silver color.
I bought MBRP black tips that bolt on over the factory tips. I then used high temp flat black grill paint on the inside of the pipes. It works for now.You kinda can’t. Many cars exhaust tips (I.e my chargers when I had it), unbolt from the muffler and can just be swapped. With the mustangs, it’s actually part of the resonator itself. So you can’t really swap it. You need to A) change the cat back for a dark horses or B) risk cutting off the tips, and weld new ones on perfectly.
I’ve actually contemplated this. Issue is 1) I didn’t know if you’d see the factory layer underneath, so it would look weird. 2) I don’t understand how they’re possibly charging like $300 for it. And 3) are they just simply black overlays? Or are they bigger to replicate a dark horse?I bought MBRP black tips that bolt on over the factory tips. Interesting they do look pretty good honestly. How did they bolt on? Not sure how that works.
They are bigger. I like it. Sell em to me if you get rid of em lol. I doubt I’m changing anything else so for me it wouldn’t really be temporary. It’s not perfect but better than the factory tips imo and for me it’s temporary.
they have a template. You drill one hole in the bottom and 2 bolts hold it in place. It uses the factory drain hole as one of the holes for each tip.Interesting they do look pretty good honestly. How did they bolt on? Not sure how that works.
You drill into the MBRP or they want you to drill into the factory exhaust tip? Because if it’s the factory tip then fuckkk thatIt’s not perfect but better than the factory tips imo
