Is this the one with stripes? I accidentally ordered the Darkhorse indoor one with stripes. If so, makes me happy, I just want logos no racing stripes lol. It was basically free so cant really complain. Here are some pics of the Car Cover
You’ll like the cover, I got one on my car and loved it!I ordered the one with stripes today from Ford (only dark horse one that I could see). Great way to use up my Ford points, and the code SHOP124 gave me an additional 20% off.
I have heard this statement a number of times and I will have to disagree. My 2006 has been stored outside under a cover for 17 years. The car has never been waxed, has no PPF, nor Ceramic coating. Now, my car never really gets "dirty" but I am no where near close to only putting the cover on after I wash it. I use Weathershield HP cover. I take the cover off to drive the car, after driving, cover goes right back on. I take the cover off by folding it on to the roof, to put it back on I simply put it on the roof and fold it back down. There is very little sliding going on IMO.Most ppl don't realize that putting a car cover on a vehicle anytime other than immediately after washing it is actually doing more harm than help. You're rubbing dust, dirt, and everything else right into the paint surface when you drag the cover across it.
I have the indoor OEM DH cover from the factory.
Oh, if you buy or get a cover, be sure to wash it before first use. I used the same soap I use to wash my microfiber towels and mitts (Rags to Riches Premium Microfiber Detergent).
You're most certainly welcome to disagree, as that's your opinion. But I can most certainly tell you that my black 2016 Corvette Z06 most certainly showed scratching from putting the cover on/off when it was not spotless. That silver hides more than you think.I have heard this statement a number of times and I will have to disagree.
I have viewed the car in direct sunlight and using Halogen lights and I have very minimal if any mircro scratches. I am as OCD as you can get. I have had three of these covers over 17 years. At first my car had direct sun exposure, now it's mostly in the shade so my recent cover is 7 years old and show no sign of fading or deterioration.@GripTime... I'm sure your car looks ok from a distance. Your color is somewhat forgiving. But I'm sure you have plenty of fine micro scratches that would never be accepted by an average OCD person like myself. Also what covers are using as I know there is no single cover going to last 17 years?
