My car, of course, has the intermittent high rpm lockout issue going into 3rd. Along with this, the clutch tends to behave weirdly after hard driving. I've considered looking into a RST (my car is my daily so don't want the more compromised nature of the RXT) but it seems that the only people who have installed one on the S650 are the guys over at Lethal and as far as I can see the only thing they have released on it is just a video where they install it and a bunch of other stuff and don't spend much time discussing it in particular.

My questions are as follows:

1. Does it still retain use of the auto rev match feature? (only reason I could foresee this being an issue is due to the lightened flywheel)
2. When installing on the s550's, I saw some videos where you need to do a crank relearn or else it will pop a check engine light. Is that still the case here?
3. How is the driveability over all? Can it stand up to hard driving better than stock despite it still being organic?

The RST is a great organic style clutch upgrade over the OEM one for sure. It can slip easier and take the abuse of higher RPM shifting. This ones is good to about 850hp. With your questions.

1. Yes, that is a transmissions feature and nothing to do with the clutch.
2. Yes, they still need a. crank relearn to be done. It's part of the repair from Ford directly. I have seen some not needing it but it's good to do. You can use the tomahawk device or the Ford FDRS
3. It will be a tad softer but that can be subjective to your driving. You can drive it harder but just be careful in general.

I hope this helps! The only other thing I 100% recommend is replace the slave cylinder every time you swap the clutch.

Hate to revive an older post. Did you upgrade? Are you happy with it? My stock clutch is likely burnt up and I'm doing my research on a new one. Did you also need to replace the master cylinder? The shop i've been recommended to thinks it would be good to replace? Only 5k miles.

I haven’t yet unfortunately, 100% do the master cylinder while you’re in there. Use the stock ford part, not the McLeod one. Report back after!

Anyone finally upgraded yet
Installing a mcleod rst right now, also doing mcleods braided steel clutch line, a new throwout/slave and an MGW short throw. Should be done within a few days (Im doing this all in my free time) will hopefully remember to post how it goes. Also only doing this because factory dual mass flywheel failed.
