Non oiled high flow air filters is the way to go but I do like the see through air boxes that come with some CAI kits. They just arent worth the price tag.

Has anyone added a cold air intake to their 24-25 GT? If so, what did you go with?
Ain’t doing nothing until it can be tuned for way bigger anything from intake to exhaust.
Carbon fiber drive shaft, A set of long tubes headers. A couple 90mm Throttle bodies and bigger intake tubes with a tune and you would have for real go faster Mustang

I used Steeda ProFlow for two track weekends and second go round felt slightly off to me. I paired them with the Soler 90mm throttle bodies.

I’m back to stock hoses with the steeda filters and kept the 90mm on.

Bigger throttle bodies won't be useful and the car will adapt itself for the increased airflow from the headers

I've struggled with the whole cold air intake concept. Simply opening up the air box in the engine compartment ~might~ increase air flow, but frankly, how much cooler can the air be from ambient? Given that cooler air will make more horsepower, certainly a chiller (like on the Whipple kits and the like) makes sense, but just opening the airbox doesn't seem like a big change. I've seen a video of before and after dyno performance of someone removing the carbon traps on the S650 GT and I think the difference was on the order of 1-2 HP, another mod that doesn't seem worth the effort to me. As far as filters, I'm trying out the Steeda high flow filters in the stock air box. I do have a concern about the oiled filter holding debris, but I'll monitor it and see.

Dyno’s wont show the airflow benefits at highway speeds

It isn't cooler. Hot air intake.

Dont need an after market system, get the same tiny gains from ditching the carbon traps and upgrading the filter, I went with Think Auto filters- increased airflow with oem filtering capabilities if not better.

The stock TB's are only 40% open at WOT so I don't see where a bigger TB would gain anything even with tuning. Only thing I see happening is, they'll be running 35% open instead of 40.

I don't see a driveshaft gaining anything either, Put that money into a set of lighter weight wheels.

We can't really "add" a CAI to our GTs as they come with one from the factory. Quite a few have "changed" their intake system to something off the after market for one reason or another.

It's fairly unlikely you'd see any significant increases in HP & TQ (sales pitches to the contrary) over our OEM CAI; so unless your interested in a cosmetic (I've seen a couple I really liked but they simply aren't worth the money being asked for nothing more than a cosmetic change that is hidden from sight) change.......................

Also, if you do swap out your OEM system; beware of brands that offer increased air flow at the cost of decreased air filtration as it could negatively impact your engine.

Best of luck with whatever you go with!
Oh shush with all this technical jargon! 😆 Even new decal stripes add +10hp.

This is what I'm looking into. sprung weight savings in wheels and rotors is yuge!
Might get me by until tune comes out.

Drive shaft reduces rotating mass weight been there done that best model out of all the ones I listed.
