I've got ~5,000 miles on since the Whipple install and the clutch is slipping under full power. Not every time but it's happened twice. Full load and pulling good then the rpm jumps hits red and bounces.
The dealer said they're not sure that Ford will cover a clutch do to the supercharger install. Anyone have this experience?
If they don't and I pay then any recommendations on a performance clutch.

I had that happen the second time I got on it. 1st time on a pull in third it broke loose at 80mph when rpms got higher but traction control saved it. Then I went from a 3rd to 4th squick shift and the clutch slipped and hit rev limiter. Smelled horrible

Yup. Same boat here. Was messing with some launches today and playing around. Glazed it real good. Starting my search now.

Clutches are considered wear items. If Ford determines the piece failed due to a part defect, incorrect factory installation or by another component acting on it incorrectly, yes. A dealer replacing one post-Whipple...difficult seeing that happen.

Manufacturers cannot define a standard for such items due to so many uncontrolled variables.

It's something any boosted owner would need to consider. Maybe as part of the project budget, set some money aside for a new clutch assembly, then replace once it fails. Depending on the level of boost, add more still for pieces such as axle half shafts and cat/exhaust upgrades.

Pretty sure I will go McLeod RXTHD. Anyone used a LFP clutch yet?

I put the McLeod RXT which is rated at 1,000 HP and added the MGW short throw shifter at the same time. I'm happy with the clutch, it's on or off with no easing into it from a stop. I really like the short throw shifter, it's very tight spaced.
