Cigarette Lighter Port

Does anyone use the cigarette port to smoke cigarettes? It pops open because it wants you to smoke.

remove the cover and insert a real or dummy lighter in its place.

Take the cap and either wrap a single layer of electrical tape around the section that is supposed to grab the socket or take some needle nose pliers and deform the edge of the plug ever so slightly so it grabs when you insert it.

I like this idea. I will have to try it.

mine pops open when I put/remove my phone from the wireless charging pad.

Mine Stays Shut.All the time.

I had to go out to the garage and look, because I never really noticed it. My hinge is very snug. Maybe you can put a tiny squirt of something sticky in the hinge to tighten it up? Can't think of what to use off the top of my head...rubber cement?
