Cat-Back Exhaust Help Please - Recommendations?

Hello, I have been reading through all of the exhaust reviews here and they are so helpful.

That being said, I want to upgrade the active exhaust on my 25 GT PP.

The only barrier is the wife lol. She hates the loud exhausts.

For those that have the Borla Atak Catback-is the quiet mode reasonable enough to not completely piss off my wife lol ?

appreciate everyone’s input on the Borla or any other cat back you may recommend.

My wife used to say the same thing about my 7.4.5 Dolby Atmos set up! The only advantage I have is the volume control! And here I thought that was controlled by software switches in the Mustang?

I’m not sure if I get your point.

the quiet mode on active exhaust is impressively quiet. I could live with it being louder in quiet mode but quiet enough that the wife doesn’t get mad everytime I start it lol

I'm under the impression the exhaust setting stays where it is even when you start it up. If that's not the case, and it was mine, I'd start looking at a ForScan solution.

It’s funny, when I buy a new one, my wife always tells me it’s too quiet and needs an exhaust.

@davidkwpg .... there are some great online videos that will give you an idea. IMO the Borla Attack is very loud. I love the sound. When admiring on at a car meet the boss (aka my wife) sounds great on his car - please don't put one on ours. Borla makes a quieter version that is still quite aggressive sounding. Some owners have said the believe they hear a droning sound with the attack at highway (freeway) speeds.

Thanks. Are you talking about the s type? As long as the Atak in quiet mode isn’t too bad -I can start it quiet at home and then crank once I leave lol

have you tried x or h pipe first because it will get loud with just that
I have x pipe now everything else stock and the normal mode is louder than stock track mode and track mode is even louder

@A.alansari ..... you are correct but many feel the X pipe while having more of a "barK' and being louder also has a raspy note compared to the H pipe. There are a lot of good videos on the subject.

If your wife doesn't like loud exhausts, stay away from the Borla ATAK and the Corsa Extreme. They both sound terrible anyway.

Look into the awe system , i have it on my dark horse it sounds great. Quiet mode is very quiet track mode gets rowdy.
