Especially with your top down .. j/k. Extreme pressure will find weak spots.

Tbh. I’ve never worried/stressed over it. Only time I’ve been interested in washing the undercarriage has been after fun time mud bogging (not normal activity for vehicle in question) or when extracting from muck but for the most part as long as you keep the shiny side up [the] underside will remain unseen.

if concerned you could try a set of race ramps and a water hose , I’d just use thumb pressure , imo if you gotta use high pressure you’re more interested in removal as opposed to cleaning.

They do use salt, and even worse is the Brine. A liquid mixture of salt and other corrosives. At least in Northern VA.

Then I would most certainly be worried about regular undercarriage washes.

Just don’t follow the truck and you’ll be fine…. That is unless you’ve got a trailer queen but then she ain’t stepping into any puddles so white gloves need not be concerned they already got the regiment in established.

A hose does just fine at the car wash. I would spray with soap then rinse every couple of weeks. As long as temps are below freezing and you don’t park in a garage you’ll be fine. Try and keep the snow and ice solid. Always wash when the temps warm up though as that’s when the most damage start occurring from the chemicals. You can always buy one of these too.

I’m in Toronto area and they use tons of salt. Not planning on driving mine until the roads are cleaned after winter and parking it before they start salting again.
That being said I don’t like the idea of basically ignoring the underside all together. Salt or not. Also don’t want to beat up the top in the wash….

I wouldn't remove that for a wash. If it's doing its job, it's keeping what's behind it relatively clean.
