Break In Oil

Hey all,

I'm wondering if I need to change my oil at 500mi or at 1,000mi?

Or, is break in oil not a thing anymore?

i changed mine at 1000 for break in

I feel 1000 mi / 1600 km is a good time for the initial oil change, yes.

Break-in oil is not required for these engines. Follow the recommended weights in the owners manual.

There are a lot of great brands available. Select an oil that meets or exceeds Ford's recommendations.

Change at 1000 or 1500. Use full synthetic from then on. Always remember enjoy your vehicle. Cheers
