About three weeks ago, I took my 2024 GT that has been in heated storage off the battery tender. I took it to the local Ford Dealer for a State Inspection and oil change. When I got home, I put it back on the battery tender and covered the car since our Spring weather hadn't arrived. Today, I decided to get the car out, detail it, and get it ready for a car cruise.
I noticed that when I approached the car with keys in my pocket, the welcome lights didn't work. In addition, when I backed it out of the garage, with the engine idling, the right brake/taillight was on. I hit the break pedal a few times, no change. I cycled the light switch, no change.
To date because of the weather, I haven't had the BCM recall done.
The car has never been wet since I bought it. It did sit on the dealer's lot for a couple of months before I bought it.
Is this an update gone wrong or some other issue.

Consider mice? (I don't know how it was stored but I was in heated storage all winter and my mouse traps got a 6-10 capacity workout during the winter)It's worth considering.

@armyGT ..... I think you will be okay. My guess is that the tender dropped the voltage enough and maybe repeatedly to affect some programming. You may need a hard re-start - but before you do that call your dealer for advice. Good luck.
