I'VE HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. ALMOST LOST IT BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE A COUPLE OF TIMES. NOW I KEEP MY LEFT FOOT OVER THE BRAKE PEDAL AND MY RIGHT HAND ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHEN I BACK OUT. SCARY! THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. I'M GOING TO SEE IF I CAN MAKE SOME KIND OF SAFE ADJUSTMENT TO THE BRAKE-PEDAL WIDTH. I DO NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH MY OTHER CAR (A KIA SOUL). THANKS FOR POSTING.
In my case I have Honda Ridgeline, Lexus SC430, Genesis G90 and my wife's Lexus RX. I have no problem with my foot slipping off any pedal in any of them. The problem has to be either the super hard material used for grip or the shiny metal surround. I will try some different shoes. Seems kind of silly that one has to change footware to drive a Mustang. I was thinking tape used on steps. The surface isn't flat and that could be problem. Also I'm thinking of using 3/4inch alum. angle hot glued and cable tied to the top edge of the pedal extending just pass the pedal edge. I was hoping for some good ideas. I tried after market pedal covers, they don't exist. Good luck to you.

What were the peddle problems with past Mustangs? The peddles look like the ones in my 2011 and 2024 except having one missing. Not many haviing this problem or it would be an expedited issue.

When I posted the picture of the brake pedal wear point on my Mustang, I guess I should have also mentioned that, the wear pointed to, is the direct result of "technique" ... If you have ever attended a performance driving school(s), you understand. I NEVER had a problem, with any shoes (or barefoot) just stopping the car, or any of my cars, as I use a different technique for a full stop (full coverage of the pedal).
Way back when .... I was campaigning a C-2, and driving schools taught technique based on three pedals - lots of footwork. Only two pedals on the Mustang, but throttle and brake pedal technique still basically the same (save for rev matching).
