I have a GT Premium with the B&O sound system. This morning when I started the car I heard a deep thump and initially didn't think much of it. Then I realized as I was driving that the sub was not operating. I tried increasing the volume and I would hear that deep thump again with every notch I increased or decreased the volume. Any thoughts regarding what might be going on here?

Whats going on is your sub isn't working. 🤣

Restart the system and see if that works. If not, take the box out and check the connections in the back and at the speaker inside.

...or just take it to the dealer since it's under warranty.

I've been contemplating replacing the existing sub anyway, so I'm really hoping that the issue is the sub, not the amplifier. I don't know enough about speaker systems to know what the issue is here. I was hoping somebody smarter than me would know what might be wrong by my description of the issue. In any case, I'm about to head out to lunch so I'll find out if this was just a system glitch or if it really is a problem.

Apparently it was just a glitch because I turned on the car and the system was working fine. Weird stuff. Will keep an eye on it and I may just replace that sub with the pioneer sub that people have swapped in on this forum.

When I took the sub box out to replace the sub, i started the car without a sub connected, that was the first and only time I had that loud thump. (Obviously from all the speakers except the sub)

Mine on occasion has done the thud, maybe 2 or 3 times but it has always worked fine. Will update if it does anything weirder like not work. I thought it was just a self test thing or something like that.
