Cap, hondas have probably the most buttery smooth shifting experience aside from maybe mazda. The tremec feels clunky by comparison. The tremec is a solid trans however, it is inferior to the trans from the subaru sti, both in how much power it will handle, durability, and shifter feel. When I got my dark horse I assumed the tremec was going to be heaven, its not, its cool, feels good etc but a far cry from heaven. The clutch engagement is really high compared to any japanese made car you can find.
Maybe the DH could be in need of a transmission mounted shifter instead of the hybrid it comes with. Transmission mounted shifter assemblies are not made for the DH. At least I've not found one from even the top brand names.

I've always owned manual Mustangs but tried to convince myself last year when I placed my order for the 24 to go with an automatic so that my wife and son could also drive it. I test drove the automatic and was convincing myself that I can do this, then my awesome wife said, "you need to also test drive the manual so you don't regret getting an automatic". Within 30 seconds of driving the manual, I was sold and ordered the manual!

Unfortunately both wife and son can't drive my Mustang, but will teach them when I retire this Mustang and order me another one 😂.
Smart move on not worrying about wife and kids driving your toy!
My wife convinced me to buy the 10-speed Mach 1 when I traded in my manual 15gt of 6 years.
She drove it twice in 3.5 years and one of those times she curbed my rear wheel.
Now I’m happy again back in manual .
Life’s too short not to get the option that brings a smile to your face .
If you want more visceral , engaged feel, manual is it, not even debatable.
And for those that say it’s faster, you are right and the Teslas and half the other German all-wheel drive sedans out these days are faster than the 10-speed… so what!
Stupid reply in my opinion

Thats true, thats what made the sti shift feel so good.

Stupid thread by now IMO. That's the nature of forums though so, no big deal. Can't one person, assumed to be an adult, make a decision by now? This isn't life or death.

I dont know that you're talking about. But I owned a few WRX and Sti before and their clutch feel is definitely higher and stiffer. They feel better after 50K, maybe from the springs being worn out.

As the the DH, the clutch feel is perfect. Very similar to the CTR. The shifter in the DH feels like clunky but very precises. Reminds of when youre cocking back the handle of a large caliber machine gun. Definitely very good feeling. My only issue with the Tremec is the reverse is not very precise. I get locked out of it sometime

Sorry, I just can't help but picture this after I read your posts. I mean no offense btw, just being playful. 😉

I'm sure the OP made a decision a long time ago. But just like oil threads, everyone has to come out of the woodwork to tell other people why there choice is right and yours is wrong. This is the 7G after all. 🤣

How tf is the auto safer? You have more control over the car in a manual, in an emergency you can literally clutch brake along with the brakes to stop you a lot faster than an auto. You also aren't going to get any weird gear changes at inopportune times that potentially upset the balance of your car. You are far more likely to lose control of your stang with an a10 vs a manual due to how fast they shift and how they do their own thing.

lol I was making fun of someone else who made the claim lol I own a manual ; )

Convertible faster than the coupe? lol

Edit: Nevermind it was a 6-speed against the 10-speed.
