......one awesome thing about this forum - no matter what options or configurations we have, as individuals, collectively we are still lucky enough to have a Mustang which is a thing of beauty and ferocity along with the members on this forum who love to engage in a bit of good-natured, collegial, brotherly, ball busting and that is (IMO) just gravy on the animal fries!.....and we sure as $hit like talking about everyone's ride. What could possibly be wrong with any of this? We are Mustang guys the rest of the guys are just waiting for their orders or dreamin'. As for non-Mustang owners they took a wrong turn into some other dealership and are hopelessly lost, God rest their souls!

Unbelievable. Been driving Mustangs for a while. Owned 4 of those POJ. Pulled over three days straight for nothing other than heading to the Department to go On-Duty. People look at Mustang drivers as if they're a bunch of animals. Tomorrow I go to Cadillac and get a real car. Cadillac CT5 V Blackwing. Only thing you'll see is the rear end of my Cadillac. Cadillac, American Class. Mustangs, getting pulled over all day.

Good luck, hopefully it doesn’t start dripping.

What are you going to do if thing go worse and the jackets want your GT at all costs and guns come out? You're going to be too busy with your right hand to do anything.
Now there's an argument against a manual .... you won't be able to draw your own gun and shift at the same time. But if it's a manual, they probably won't be able to drive it anyway.

Seriuosly though, if I'm amred car jacked, they can have it.

Forget what's cool. Depending if you carry you'll have two choices. Let them take it, or fight for it. Your choice.
Not if you’re left handed

You know.... it's this kind of comment that could spur a whole different conversation about which round is better... 9mm or 45ACP.
---There.... I said it.

Well Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, and Subaru all make two door manuals, as well as exotics like Porche, Lotus, and Astin Martin. But yes, I believe the Blackwing is the only American V8 manual left now that the Camaro is gone.
Re-read my post sir. I literally said that.
What you said..literally.. is that other makes have 2 door manuals and then listed a bunch of 4 and 6 cylinder cars.

2 Door
Manual
V8.

Pretty simple.

I have owned BOTH S650s. The first one was a 10 speed automatic. It got boring pretty quick. The second one (the one I currently have) is a 6-speed. I absolutely love shifting my own gears. It’s really a real pleasure to drive a manual 5 liter V8.
Totally agree! I made the same mistake. To me the automatic wasn't that much fun to drive. The manual is always fun to drive! Huge difference!

Yes, and then I confirmed the Blackwing was the only V8 manual in the same paragraph. Reading is hard I guess.

If it doesn't have three pedals, it had better be electric is my opinion. Been rowing my own gears for 31 years now, except in my Hyundai Ioniq 5. Now that we have the 6S 2025 Mustang GT, trading in the Ioniq 5 for a Rivian R3X is all our household needs to be complete. Except maybe a 5S beater pickup that I can haul 4 x 8 sheets of plywood and MDF with.

I know the dual-clutch shifters are awesome, I get it. But there's just something about stick shifting that I can't live without, the tactile feedback, and the total control over shift points. It makes you a partner with the engine, instead of just a jerk pushing buttons. Adding the MGW Xspec with full reduction (25%) and a heavy Billetworkz knob really seals the deal, and practically welds the shifter to the transmission tunnel. Now that I've switched to BMR motor mounts and brackets as well, the car really "talks" to me through the stick. If you haven't experienced the raw feel of a V8 under load through a taut short shifter, anxious to pull, you're missing out...

I ordered a GT Premium Convertible, 6-speed, PP and Magnaride in May. I sat in front of the salesman at the dealership. The salesman and I reviewed the computer screen together selecting the colors and options I wanted. I walked away with a copy of the order and a receipt for my deposit.

Next day I got the first ‘Ford’ email acknowledging the order for the car, that emails would follow as the order progressed. To my surprise later that day the salesman whom I met and ordered the car with called and said he cancelled the order. The order was done under the wrong dealership. It took him 4 orders to get the options correctly. Ford sent emails for 2 of the 3. The 3rd one was right..

The car being built does not have a 6-speed, it's an automatic. It’s one of the orders the salesman got wrong..

It’s in production this week and will likely be shipped soon. I told him I wanted first dibs on the car with employee pricing that lowers the MSRP nearly 6k. If I order a 26 like I want it will run about 70 or so..

My question is.. are you satisfied with the 10 speed auto trans performance or are you aching for a 6-speed? Want to know how stick shift drivers experience driving with the automatic.

Here is the car I am waiting for..

I love manual transmissions but ordered an A10 for multiple reasons. This car is my favorite thing I've ever bought. If you're worried about auto not being fun, I wouldn't. But if you really want a manual then get the car you want, don't settle for something else

Spot on. It really doesn't need to be more complicated that this. 👍🏻

Had the manual in my last two Mustang GT's and yes they are fun. Nothing better than rowing through the gears and you look down and you're doing 100 mph. The Auto keeps me under control a bit and it is easier to drink my morning coffee. Auto can shift much faster then I was able to.
