This is my first convertible and I have the top down whenever possible.
I got this wind deflector: www.lovethedrive.com and the ride is awesome every time!
I bought the wind deflector for my 2015 when it was new. You can put the windows up and drive with the heater running when it's cold.

This is my second Mustang convertible. I wouldn’t have anything else. I finally got exactly the car I wanted with nobody telling me what to do, so I got my manual GT after 16 years. I do get some funny looks when it’s about 30 out, but I don’t care! I don’t like putting the top up…ever.

I know what you mean. I've been known to be truckin' up the NY Thruway, in a snow storm, top down, windows up and the heat blasting. How much fun can you have in a convertible, as much as you want! Although, that was in the '90s, in a Saab convertible and I'm a lot older now. Not sure I would do it now. I am sure my wife would not be supportive. Glenn

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the top down, but I do get some strange looks. Two guys next to me at a red light asked me if I was cold. I said, "Should I be? No, of course not." That's what hoodies and heaters are for. We don't get much snow here, but it still gets cold. I used to get in moods that I just didn't want to drive, which was inconvenient because I had to drive to Atlanta a lot. I've never been in that sort of mood since I got a Mustang, and I always take the long way home. Finally free. Sarah

I love my 24 convertible GT I just want to be able to take it to the track without having to install a roll bar, refuse to drill holes in it
You will find that most road courses will NOT allow verts on the track without a roll bar. Sorry, I owned a 2017 GT vert and really enjoyed it, but couldn't track it without a roll bar. Even if you put one in you will find that the handling on a vert for tracking is not optimal.
If you are on a smaller track (-2 miles) with lots of turns your not going to have a lot of fun.
Best thing to do is get it out on some back country roads or take it to the drag strip which I believe some will let you run there without a roll bar.
if I had to do it over again i would have gotten the eco model to just cruise around in.
I'm also not sure I would have even bothered with a manual transmission.
All that being said, the GT is pretty great sounding and does give a different experience from the eco.
