Hi Vert Owners:

Older S550's came with the 2 tonneau covers to cover the top mechanism. They seemed to have start phasing them out in recent years.

Did any of your S650's come with them. If not, are you ordering them from Ford?

Thanks

It is my understanding they are no longer an option with the s650. There have been reports that the older version fits.

I have a set, I got them from @LevittownFordParts for iirc about $170 shipped

Good for putting in/on at car shows and cruise nights

Rumor has it one of the many reasons Ford stopped offering them was the bottom side reinforcing ribs would run the top's fabric and wear it.

I am not going to leave mine in while driving for that reason.

The previous generation PN's work for the ones that fit the 7G cars

I read that too about leaving them in on the road but I've done it a few times and saw no sign of any wear starting. Not saying it won't happen if you do it long term but I wouldn't sweat it if you forget once in a while. Speaking of forgetting... What's interesting is the 7g cars must have a sensor for them because if you forget they are there and attempt to put the top up, the top won't even try to go up. It just throws an error in the dash saying to remove the gap covers before putting the top up.

The covers are no longer offered. The covers from the 2024 6G fit fine. My dealer ordered mine from LMR (Late Model Restoration). They fit fine and work perfectly even at high speed. I've been using mine since I got the car, and I have not noticed any wear or tear. YMMV! If you install them correctly, the top will not go up. If you don’t, they will end up lying on the ground next to your car. (Don't ask!) Here is the part# from LMR (LRS-7631045CC-K for the pair). By the way, the LMR website now indicates they work for 2015-2025 models. When I got mine, it said up to 2023! Here are some pics:
