Another Spare Tire Question.

I am very tempted too, but the cost is a little over the top and shipping to me (Canada) is insane...

Yea, $500 for complete kit is steep....and more so for Canadians.

Converted in Canadian dollars with shipping it's 900$ and i'm sure they'll add taxes before it delivers... so we'll make it an even 1000$... for a spare....

I wish someone would come up with a cheaper alternative like the spare from another car and just have to swap the tire or something creative. I tried looking but it's not turning much results.

I would love that, but I'm not holding my breath on Ford doing that...

Crazy. In Canada the spare mini wheel add on is $200 CDN$. So about $135 USD

It does boggle my mind why they goto the effort of molding space for a spare into the boot floor and then half fill it with inflator goop.
It's not as if a 19" wheel wouldn't fit if an 18" does as it'll be limited by the outer diameter which is the same regardless of brake size

In my opinion, it’s fine for a side car that i don’t use for shopping or family trips, plus it’s worth having as a spare rim in case of them gets screwed…

While that is cool, how does that work with the staggered setup? I'm thinking it's a 255 so that it can still fit in the front wheel wells?

I'm assuming Ford used the inflator kit crap to keep car weight down?? So easy to remove tire if you plan to track it or other..

Yeah the inflator kit is included as well.
Should definitely be removed for a track day. But I am planning to keep the spare there for everyday rides, never know what you run into on long trips…
