an interesting thing with the 2025 Explorer

i dont know if anyone actually cares about this, but i found out something while trying a test build for the FORScan team; the 2025 Explorer has no IPC module. both the infotainment and gauge cluster are controlled by the APIM now

really interesting choice, but it make the "map view" feature's functionality make sense now. also explains why the "volume down + next track" method of restarting the APIM no longer works

I hope the APIM people up their game, what we have now is bad. And there are problems with Sync4 vehicles that we cannot fix, there is supposed to be an OTA by the end of the year to solve the issues, try telling that to someone with a $100K pickup truck that they just gotta wait.
