Adaptive Cruise Control Unavailable

I was driving to work the other day, 75mph in the left lane, Hair Nation on the Sirius XM, just cruising along, when all of a sudden the cruise control shut off. I had a pop-up notification on the info center stating that the ACC was unavailable. No other faults noted. I was able to use the speed limiter to hold my speed at 75 with the gas pedal, but every time I tried to set the ACC, it would give me the same pop-up message and not work. I checked the sensor in the grill and the camera in the windshield, both were unobstructed.

I checked the FordPass app after I got to work, and the only alert listed was for the Passive Entry/Passive Start feature being offline, but the car started right back up with no issues. When I drove home that afternoon, the ACC worked just fine.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, and if so, what was the cause and/or solution to keep it from happening?

This happened to me a couple weeks ago, all you need is an update to the ccm.

this happened to me also. And with other errors with steering assist vs. (different times). dealer said there was an update.

Well, I also noticed, when I checked the app, that automatic updates had somehow turned themselves off, so hopefully resetting that will solve the main issue...

Only in poor weather conditions such as heavy fog.

This happened to me along with several other warnings - rev marching stopped working, abs turned off. Turning the car on and off would reset it. Happened again after about an hour. Took it to dealer and they said it was an update that was needed which fixed the issue. I’m guessing they pushed out some bad code or something and then patched it.

i noticed that too. but when i see the car was already at dealer and i think that was because of them

This just happened to me yesterday. Hoped restarting car today would correct it. Didn’t. Also got FordPass message about remote starting not available & that car would not start. It started fine today. Tried to switch to non-adaptive cruise control but wouldn’t work. Just got message that ACC was not available. I’ll go check for update now. Fingers crossed.

No joy. Auto updates on. No updates available. Is it dealer visit time? Open to suggestions/fixes.

probably dealer visit time. Once (different than this one) after getting braking assist error the car wouldn't start. But after a few hours it was okay. I directly go to dealer they checked the logs and the car was sending battery low error for a month. they changed and it was okay. i think we need to see thi kind of errors before we need road sideassitance.

PS: When they checked for the last problem on the system they again saw bunch of errors for a month or so.
