Anyone else experience this happening? Climate control is NOT on Auto for clarification. I just simply have the fan turned on to circulate air and then you feel the engine surge a little and the air gets really cold.....lasts for a couple minutes and then goes back to blowing ambient temperature air. It will do this over and over while the car is on.... whether idling or driving. This may be an issue on dyno pulls/ racing if you have the AC turned off but have the fan on circulate.

This was happening to me on my drive between Maryland and Michigan. Kind of drove me nuts

This is why I like simpler electronics. It all sounds good until it doesn't work right, they who can fix it?

Maybe it has something to do with this?

I do not have the seat coolers on either. The only thing on is the fan.

Do you have the recirculation setting activated - if so this will turn the AC on from time to time to avoid fogging up.
No. It is pulling the outside air in.

Sometimes things like the heated steering wheel will turn on when you take your fingers across the dash to turn on or turn off something else and you hand gets in the way
Just a thought.

smurf, thank you for those links. just read up on that. air conditioner always cycles on when I first fire mine. but I rarely run the air conditioner. I was taking my wife to pick up her car, both windows down kind of warmer humid but not super humid night. I typically turn off my AC as soon as it fires up and blow both windows down. but on this drive across town, regardless of what the dash showed, that air was blowing out crispy cold. kind of weird. even with the AC "button" dark, definitely still engaged. I did not try shutting the car down and/or turning off climate control. haven't experienced again and I let it go. but at least I know it's not me now. I only wish if the car was going to run the compressor and not let me decide, that AC "button" would stay illuminated. or maybe the AC clutch stuck?

I’m with you, I prefer to have control over the A/C, mainly because it’s cold AF. It can be disabled, but I’ve just set the temperature to 75-77 so that when it kicks on, it’s not freezing me out.
