I believe it is a soft touch vinyl. Not “real” leather.I understand that.
But is the regular 400a leather wrapped or plastic?

Because the materials and build quality in that BMW are much better. A Mustang is an economy car. It will never have the fit and finish of even the entry level 2 Series BMW.
Besides some high gloss plastic, literally what's the difference? People are seriously tripping over this. All I know is my Whataburger cup will certainly fit better in the stang =)

The disconnect, to the OP's point, is that Ford is charging a BMW price for a supposed "economy" car with supposed "economy" materials & build quality...Because the materials and build quality in that BMW are much better. So if Ford had put a little piece of plastic "support" behind the dash it would be all good in your eyes? Get outta hereAnd since some keeping bringing up the BMV 3 Series as if it isn't gaudy as well, they at least put in a *BIT* more effort to integrate the screen with the dash board if you see the pictures on the side of / behind the screens below.
The 3 Series doesn't look as though someone just superglued it on top of the air vents and steering wheel as an afterthought, or that it could blow over with a good wind.
