2K Clear Satin spray paint on gloss black grill?

Howzit forum members, from Big Island of Hawaii. Has anyone sprayed 2K Clear Satin on their gloss grill. I feel like the the gloss grill stands out and appears less cohesive, as it is the only gloss piece of the front end. The hood vent is matte carbon fiber, the lower side vents are closer to satin, and the front splitter is abs plastic. This is the night pony package, so it does have a black gloss hood, side mirrors and spoiler. Not sure if I will regret this project. Any advice or opinions are appreciated. Cheers!

Its just protective layer that u can use for all kinds of materials. And i think it comes in clear gloss satin and matte. U can also get the same effect with plasti/hyper dip. I plan to paint my gt grille to match rtr hood vent, ill post photos when i do it

Did you use the 2K Clear Satin or 2K Clear Matte? Or was it another product?

So this is probably a dumb question but do people use this as like a ceramic coating but not ceramic?

Not really. It’s an actual 2K catalyzed clear coat, not a ceramic coating. Most modern vehicles already have a factory clear coat over the base paint. People use satin clear to change the sheen/finish — like turning gloss black into satin black — while also adding protection and durability.
