Are there any (current production) hybrid V8's that don't cost like $100k+

That's supercar shit.
Ford would have to invest a decent amount into the mustang platform to make it into a performance hybrid. But let's not forget what's incredibly cost inefficient is having a stand alone platform with limited sales numbers.

That's driving up the cost of the car because the process of building it is inefficient and more expensive. Sharing the platform with a sedan will drastically increase sales volume and help make the efficiencies of economies of scale work in your favor. Thereby reducing the cost of manufacturing the car and related components quite drastically.

So it's gonna be a trade off. Platform sharing will help make the car a lot cheaper in theory. But offering a performance hybrid will drive the price up. It's my hope that the two kinda balance each other out.
