Here’s a video of Shelby’s new 2026 Super Snake R with a starting price of $225K. Beautiful car but man that price hurts lol.

Impressive build but to expensive. Short of the wide body, I've built basically the same car, including all the chassis and suspension upgrades for $120K Canadian.

Oil temperatures still limit it at the track! LOL.

This is what I am saying and you have the fun of doing it your way.

Is it just because of the name / uniqueness at this point?

Well on the bright side it’s not called the GT500 because I had a feeling we were gonna see it. 😂

Good god, that's absolutely insane man. Almost a quarter of a million for a car?!
There’s plenty of cars that cost 225K+++ but something about a Mustang and a multi-6 figure price tag just doesn’t jive lol … Im sure its a world class car and goes like hell, and it is beautiful, but 225K+ ain’t right y’all lol.

I thought 62K for my GT was on the high end lol

For a starting price of 225K - what would you rather buy???!!! Thats exotic car territory IMO. I bet optioned out you’d be looking at close to 300K on this car.

I would be cross shopping Lamborghini Huracan STO or a used Aventador…. Maybe a Ferrari of some sort… just my 2 cents If i was going to burn 300K on a car.

this is just a total and complete miss by Shelby in my opinion, not even considering the price. that rear fender extension is absolutely the worst thing i have seen on an S650 yet. also "3.2L Whipple" i think he misspoke there. Whipple has no 3.2L for the Coyote. they have a 3.0L and 3.8L. i also dont like the fact that they disgraced a Dark Horse by putting some of the same stuff on as their regular Super Snakes, which are based on GT Performance Packs. and i dislike even more that they decided some coilovers are better than the MagneRide system. why did they also get rid of the iconic Dark Horse shift knob and the dash chassis number too? nothing on this vehicle says its a real Dark Horse anymore, they downgraded it to Shelby. the only two things that i see here that are improvements upon the regular Super Snake are the actually good looking magnesium wheels, and the new start stop button

Quarter million dollar spenders who want American + V8 will probably go ZR1/ZR1X over GTD/Super Snake R.

Ford and Shelby's only play left for Mustangs is milking boomer nostalgia until the boomer generation dies out (no offense to boomers on this board). The younger generations never experienced 1960s American muscle, nor do they care, and they can't afford these modern prices. Unfortunately I don't think Mustang has a bright future.
