2026 GT Convertible on Order

Hey all,

I placed an order for a '26 GT Convertible back in Jan of '26.
Immediately after placing the order, I received an email from Ford with my order # & VIN
The initial email indicted the car was to be built the week of 4/27/26
Just yesterday, I checked the status of the order & it now indicates it will be built the week of 4/13/26

Is this normal for build dates to fluctuate?
Does it make a difference how the car is equipped? Mine is a GT, PP, 6spd

I have never ordered from Ford before, so I guess the changing dates is

I had a similar experience with dates moving up. Ultimately I got it several weeks earlier than the dealer's estimate. Other order threads talk about moving dates as well, although I'd say most get moved out.

Yep, that's normal. Congrats on your order! We have over 3200 miles on ours, picked it up the day before Thanksgiving. It's my wife's daily driver and the car we take when we go out to eat or shopping.

Just happened to me today, original build date was 4/29, not 4/13, very excited, maybe couple more week earlier???? hope so.
