Hi everyone,

Rang my Syd region dealer today for an update on a GT. He couldn't give me anything on pricing (no surprise) or allocations, all I got out of him was a stock no/NSC not a delivery date. I have NFI what that number means but it's D63Z.

Is this just a basic config code i.e. GT, manual, Grabber blue - or something that can be deciphered to an allocation e.g. 1st batch or 2nd batch etc....?

Asked him about DH allocation and they got 6 - all spoken for well before I got on the bandwagon.

I've changed my mind on colour but didn't change the order yet, would now be a good time to firm up the colour and include options?

If so, I'll call/visit them tomoz and change it.

Trending towards Atlas blue with black pack and Magneride - but only if it comes with Red painted Brembo's as noted in a previous post.
I would say it shouldnt change your spot in the queue... changing your mind between now and say mid octorber? cars are 'supposed' to get built in Nov so we will see.
Ford have been extremely late with US launch so we will see.
It seems as though 90% of the delay was quality control and not supply chain... But still. potential logistical backlog?
Cars are going out to customers fast now but cant go out fast enough. thousandssitting in the lot.

I changed my colour yesterday, well, i email Greg Hooper at Bremer but they do take a good 4-14 days to reply 🤣 .
Might give him a call monday morning to see if he still works there.

Anyway, until the order is submitted and your order number top right stays the same i can't see why itwill bump you down at all, unless orders have been sent to US.

In my pessimistic mind, im thinking there are certain 'cars' made with random specs, and then just allocated to people who ordered those specs.
So i changed mine to the Shadow Black with black pack. From Vapor Blue. ha ha ha

Thanks Steve, black on black looks good too. I tried that on the US configurator thing

I've changed my colour, from vapour to grabber blue and removed appearance pack - was told no issue, I'm still in the first 5 orders at my dealer.

I'm guessing the RHD prototype on display in Melbourne two weeks ago is here for local emissions testing and general compliance checks. (?)

If so, that is evidence things are moving along, albeit at a glacial pace. :curse:

Perhaps FoA are reviewing what features they can strip out to lowering manufacturing costs and keep the RRP down to an acceptable price point, given our crap exchange rate, inflation, blah blah.

When you factor this in, it's not surprising there are fewer options to order.
More choice = more SKUs = higher cost of materials management.

The average Joe Blow who walks in off the street (ie; not us) would be blissfully unaware of all the features and options available in North Merica that y'all be missing out on.

One year anniversary since the reveal coming up in only 17 days. :lipssealed:

Tick tock.

Yes, Although we get the GT Premium, with 401A and Performance Pkg, FoA have previously cut a lot of corners with features, eg we did not get Memory Seats, BLIS, Rear Spoiler, Strut Tower Brace, or Torsen Diff. et al.

Regarding Pricing, as the equivalent US Configured Mustang GT only had a NET $150 Price Increase over the similarly configured current MY23 GT, and as the tyranny of Covid Price Gauging on Logistics costing is hopefully behind us, hopefully we should see only a minor price increase to and from FoA for the Mustang. We will just have to wait and see what FoA in their wisdom do.

Yes, across that.
My first online Mustang build was beginning of 2022.

There is no way FoA could exclude BLIS in 2024.
(My 2016 RAV4 has BSM [Blind Spot Monitoring], and that was introduced in MY13, a decade ago FFS !!! )

If FoA want to cheap out, then by all means do it with the bolt-on items.
Not things that interface with pre-programmed locale specific electronics modules.

The MY24 / S650 Diff Specs are the same as the S550.

The 10R80 Auto Diff Ratio will be 3.55:1 with 7th Gear 1:1 for both GT & Dark Horse.

The Manuals will probably be 3.73:1.

excellent... you guys are probably doing the same, but just watched LMR pick up their GT and he was complaining about the 3.15 gears feeling a bit anemic.
Excellent win

You're behind a rumor Arno!

Last rumor going about was this Monday, 4-Sep.

Thanks, although Its surprising if FoA don't wait an extra day for the RBA Rate decision, although a decision was probably made weeks ago, and it is now looking as if a Rate increase (and therefore AUD increase) is more unlikely.

Not holding my breath, but time (Hours?) will tell. I'm beginning to loose interest.
