I have a 2024 GT PP and was looking to see if anyone has been able to limit the top gear when driving around town in drive?
I have a 2022 F-150 and while in drive I can use the +/- button to set/limit the truck to not go past a certain gear (7th) while driving around town. When I come to a stop the truck will shift down to 1st then work its way back up to 7th but not go any further. This is a nice feature when doing a lot of in town driving and keeps the truck in the sweet spot. I can use the +/- to increase the shifts up to 10th once I hit the interstate or it returns to 1st through 10th at the next start up, mind you this is all in drive not manual.
My Mustang will hold a gear while in drive for a short period of time while in drive using the paddle shifters but will return to up shift to 10th gear while in town driving which makes it "sluggish". Yes I can put it in manual and up shift to a certain gear and it will hold that until the next stop light then it shift to 1st and then I have to up shift again using the paddle shifters, its fun at first but after the 10th stop light a little annoying.
I have noticed that in sport mode, in drive it will hold 8th/9th a little longer but I live in a very hilly area and 6/7 is the ideal gear for the mustang,
And yes call me lazy but in the world of cars and technology, and the f-150 has spoiled me I want it all......
