Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this—I’ve booked my car in for a service to get it checked out, but thought I’d ask around here too.
I occasionally get a message pop up very briefly that says:
“Steering Assist Fault - Service Required”

It seems to happen when I’m turning the wheel in tight spots or doing a U-turn. The steering goes a bit stiff for a second, then it goes back to normal as I complete the turn. No other warning lights stay on after that.
Anyone had this happen before? Keen to hear your thoughts or if you’ve had something similar.

Thanks!

I have had this happen with my F150. To your point, it seemed to be driven by an action I was performing at the time. Has not happened since. I would ignore unless it starts occurring on a regular basis.

Update, I have dropped the car off at the dealership. they say it might be due to low voltage in the battery and are keeping the car overnight to charge the battery and see if thats the isse.
