I'll have to check that out. My biggest gripe with the wheels is how bright they are. The look practically white in some of the pictures. Not sure why Ford made them such a bright silver like that. I'd just prefer them to be a little darker, more of an aluminum look.
I also noticed the same polished aluminum wheels are available as an option on the Ecoboost models.
I guess I'll go with the standard wheels with brembos and swap them out down the road. Ugghhh
Not only do they not give you the premium package spoiler while still charging for it, they force you to remove the blade spoiler. So it's like you're paying $2,500 to give them your spoiler! Although I wouldn't want the pp spoiler on my convertible, I do agree with you that the convertible...
Interesting, I hadn't considered that. What does that cost to get done? I'm still not sure I like the spoke pattern on the standard wheels. Reminds me of a bicycle wheel.
On bad part about the polished aluminum wheels I just found out ... you can't order the brembos with those wheels. ☹️
So I was previously torn over going with the standard premium GT wheels or the NP package. After viewing numerous incoming threads I think I don't want the nite pony package anymore. Just too much black for me. Sort of washes out the car with all the badges, wheels, lights being darkened out...
I wish they used this spoke pattern in the standard wheels. So much better looking than the stock chrome rims. I'm still deciding NP vs standard wheels. Not sure I want the all-black look. Need to see in person.
Now I don't know that I hate the wheels as much as previously. With the black with the chrome badging this isn't terrble. I still need to see in person how bright they actually are.
Oh man that is fantastic! Love it. Congratulations! Almost the same buid as I'm looking at except I'm doing the nite pony instead of the bronze package. Can't wait to see your pictures and videos after you pick it up!
Sticking with my 14 Grand Cherokee SRT until these become available and common and the dealers. Decided I'm not pre-ordering. I want to see and drive these at the dealer. And if that takes six more months so be it.
I'm glad you asked this. I was thinking maybe they were no longer producing the plastic inserts. I definitely prefer the look with the inserts installed. For short trips I probably wouldn't bother, but it really makes for a cleaner sleeker look.
