Damn this looks sharp. Base GT (dash screens not connected) in Race Red with the Nite Pony package. Love the wheels. I think I have been officially convinced to go NP based on those wheels.
Same situation here, and it's a "no" for me. Unless you really want the PP wheels and tires (and I don't want either), I don't think the rest of it makes financial sense. You can always add the brake package. Plus with a convertible the rear spoiler is not applicable.
No doubt there was a loss in performance when I switched to ceramic pads. The bite on the original brembo pads was amazing. But the brake dust created was like nothing I had ever seen. It was a dustpocalypse and would cover my wheels in a matter of days.
One trick I learned from the Jeep forums is the replace the stock brembro pads with ceramics. The brake dust was just INSANE when if first go the car. Ceramic pads eliminated that. They did squeek a lot at first but once they fully broke in they quieted down. Bikeman above makes a good point...
My current vehicle is a '14 Grand Cherokee SRT which comes with the chrome "spide monkey" wheels like the picture below. I've had this car for 7+ years and I abslolutely HATE cleaning the wheels. I think they looks great when nice and clean but man it takes a ton of effort to keep them that...
I tend to agree. To me the only things I would want from the PP are the rear spoiler and magneride. I don't like the PP wheels and they are a total PITA to keep clean. On top of that I'm getting the convertible so the spoiler doesn't apply anyway. I plan on adding the brembros as a stand...
Went to the NASCAR race in Dover yesterday and happened to be sitting right where they park the pace car at the end of pit lane. Here are a couple pictures of the '24 Mustang pace car. Sorry, not the best photos but the best I could do from the seats. It looked sharp out there!
I just tried it on the build site and it allowed me to add red stripes to the shadow black nite pony build. You could not add white stripes with nite pony.
I have cylinder deactivation on my Grand Cherokee 6.4L and I freaking hate it. You get minimal gas mileage benefits while dealing with the god awful engine drone and vibration. I typically shift manually into 8th when highway driving to avoid it but it would sure be nicer if they just had a...
That sounds like where I'm heading too. The checked wheels above, 401A, brembos, and active exhaust. I like the nite pony look but yeah I'm just not sure that I want EVERYTHING to be black. I sort of like the chrome touches with the badging. Agree on the PP, I have no intention of getting it...
You guys have certainly convinced me that looking at after-market wheels makes a lot of sense. If I'm not happy with the stock I can alway swap them out, and I don't have to spend the money on Ford's optional wheels up front.
The wheels you have pictured look really good. I like black wheels...
