  1. Why so many S650s on Carmax?

As a lifelong car guy, multiple Mustang owner and many year dealership employee, I am baffled by the lack of excitement over the S650. I consider mine to be the best of the ones I've owned, and am in it for the long haul. I agree with most of the reasons lited above, but IMHO, the two biggest...
  2. Ford Air Design Front Splitter

I've had mine on for 6 months, weekly trips thru the car wash, and it looks good and fits well.
  3. Which rim do you like better?

That 2015 is an eye catcher all the way around!
  4. Did the s650 live up to the "Poster car" promise Farley made?

Working at a Ford dealer, I can tell you that they don't care much for the dealer body or the customer in the things they do.
  5. Which rim do you like better?

My car is grabber blue and the black just seemed to wash out with it I agree about Chrome or too bright Wheels but I thought the charcoal was looked good
  6. Oil Air Separator Install

Catch can is one universal thing that everyone should have. It don't make you go faster and it doesn't make people go ooh ah when you open the hood but it's a real actual beneficial value to your car
  7. Did the s650 live up to the "Poster car" promise Farley made?

I don't know what Farley said, and having worked for Ford for 5 years I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire, but I have a 24x36 poster of an atlas Blue 24 GT at speed with mountains in the background hanging in my hall!
  8. Which rim do you like better?

I know I am in a very very very very very very small minority these days but I cannot stand black wheels on anything. The silver ones you show are the ones that were on the car that I ordered that never came in, the one I did end up with had black wheels and the second day they were swapped out...
  9. Finished the Whipple Installation all by myself :)

Hats off to you! We do these at the dealership with lifts and all the right tools and they are a bitch even then. I can't imagine doing one at homes.
  10. 5.0 non active axel back exhaust info

I have an NXT quad tip axle back and an 'H' pipe. Its pretty loud but not annoyingly so. I have nothing to gauge it against though, except a coworkers straight pipe car!
  11. Will an S550 Strut Tower Brace fit on an S650?

S550 brace will absolutely fit, I got a takeoff here at the dealership and it dropped right into place. I did need 2 additional nuts for the empty studs.
  12. Will S550 GT cat backs fit on S650 (convertible)?

I can say from personal experience that axle back exhausts will interchange.
  13. Some info about Ford

In Texas also, sales copies the drivers license and insurance of the test driver before they head out. Its a bailment. The customer keeps the license for the reason mentioned above. This is done for any roadtest, not just "exotics". We had someone total a new F-150 on a roadtest, and we filed...
  14. Some info about Ford

In the words of Joe Kenda, The Homicide Hunter, "well, my, my, my"
  15. Some info about Ford

My '24 is $195/mo, full coverage, with a $500 deductible. Registration renewals are $75/year, and annual inspection is $25.50. We lived briefly in Georgia, and they have what they call "ad valorem" tax, which I think is Greek for anal rape. Is based off the value of the car and drops yearly. It...
  16. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

Supraman speaks the truth... and I might add that in 2-3 years, most of the posters on this forum will no longer have the cars anyway. A combination of not liking it, 2-3 year leases, and the quest for the next bright shiny object will see them "sold on" as the guy from Wheeler Dealers says...
  17. Some info about Ford

In Texas for example, let say you buy a $15K car and trade in a $7K car, you would only pay sales tax on the $8k delta. At 6.25%, you'd save $437 by trading vs a straight purchase.
  18. Some info about Ford

Flood damage that is repaired does not void the warranty, but a salvage title sure will. Even with a salvage title, some recalls are still valid, others are not. I've fixed many flood cars over the years without issue, but increasingly, insurance companies are totalling anything more than s...
