disingenuous. Ford doesn’t have to charge so much just to offer what it should have offered to begin with.
if they’re willing to sell the Mach e at a loss, they should be able to pack more value in the mustang at current prices. Cameras don’t cost much. It’s all about boardroom decisions...
WAS solid. Now outdated and behind.
again, we know fords rationale. And it’s understandable.
But still, let’s not pretend that is at all better than what it is - a continuation of a decade old platform - which was itself a continuation of a decade old platform. It’s in essence a heavier and...
no one is talking the numbers on the sticker. We are talking improvements in actual performance from last gen - from the factory.
We’re all familiar with mods.
lodge not pretend the mustang didn’t get more expensive either ok buddy? And for what? It didn’t gain performance. It’s not new.
So yeah. We want more out of the car.
It’s a strange time for the Mustang.
I don’t like to rain on the parade of those who love this time, but it’s a bit weird.
Yes, we all know Fords reasoning for keeping the status quo with some sheet metal updates here, some screen here, and twin throttle bodies over there. What that has resulted...
I mentioned that already in post #47 of the thread. But the post you quoted was referring to the debate of what the gears were intended for. And the fact that Ford offers better gearing for those who want it.
Dang. That’s amazing! Sorry you had to sell. But I bet the new owner was ecstatic. I would have been. Congratulations on a rare and epic life experience.
personally I really like that idea. The mustang is going to need to revolutionize in order to keep its iconic status. With the market changes and the lack of any real competition, the mustang is going to need to upgrade what it is. Cobra nameplate is pretty awesome too.
no way. The vette is in the same class as the viper, gt40, the old Supra, and ford gt.
Two seats , a fiberglass body, and just enough car to cover the engine and cockpit. That’s why they’re called sports cars.
Mustang, Camaro, and challenger were all 4 seaters, bigger cars overral and more...
It’s hilarious that this is an actual debate.
ask yourself why Ford offers these options.
it’s the following: higher number = more acceleration. Lower number = more economy. Has zero to do with transmission smoothness or anything else. It’s all about maximizing performance or… not.
why anyone...
I’ll leave you with this: if you option the 10 speed auto on the dark horse, you get the 3.55s. nobody complaining about the possibilities you mention.
a faster final drive isn’t going to magically mess things up. It will however, make your car quicker and more fun to drive on the daily...
thays peobsbly the only way to sell you on it.
Go to your dealer. Test drive a 3.15 and then a 3.55 and be sure to get on the throttle. My bet is you’ll never give the 3.15s a thought again.
in my experience, there is a notable difference both in actual numbers as well as by the seat of your pants going to 3.55 and again going to 4.11 (4.09 in this case).
get the 3.55s. You’ll be really glad.
3.15s is grandma mode.
amazing and attainable are not mutually exclusive. You just have to have a goal and be smart to get there. This is true for anything from industrial design to stage design and lighting to multimedia setups, to vehicle engines frames and industrial design to civil engineering.
I gave you examples...
