Sounds a bit dronish at lower rpm, but awesome when on the throttle.
I think even high flow cats would help.
What mufflers are you using? With the headers, I think Borla would give you great sound at high and low rpm.
I’ve already stated why the Mustang sells more than other sports cars. Now with no Camaro and the dodge twins having no real future, it’s cake.
But let’s compare apples to apples
if we look at just March 2015 and compare to March 2024, we see sales of 12,663. And then in April, it sold 13,144...
why not? In spite of the “all new” marketing snd s65 designation, it’s really just an s550 refresh and those only last a few years as it is.
But no one is expecting Ford to abandon s650 despite its tepid reception.
what we are hoping for is thst ford is using this borrowed time snd past 20...
As much as some may want to dismiss it, many mustang fans snd the mass market public want a compelling reason to buy a new one. When it doesn’t arrive, they vocalize in hopes that someone listens. Apparently quite a few have vocalized using their closed wallet, hence this thread.
Even better with an ecoboost v8 though. They have to turbo the six to make it competitive. But turbo the 8? That’s where the real “Magic in the air” happens.
with all due respect, working in service and understanding the boardroom are very different things.
Ford cares. They simply misjudged the market. They’ve been able to skate by on selling nostalgia and “Magic in the air” in the past, so it should work now? Right? Wrong.
Mustang fans and the...
aluminum panels would be a major step in the right direction. And it’s not like it takes as much to cover the paltry number of mustangs in comparison to the trucks. Weight reduction should be priority one.
Ford does care for two reasons:
1) marketing prestige and the halo effect.
2) customer sales and enthusiasm.
number two is already down. So number 1 is all they got.
what happens to Ford when it’s no longer “home of the Mustang?”
the Mach e is a fine SUV, but it’s only a “Mustang” in the...
it’s called pandering.
they basically made the GT… but thought they could sell for more by calling it dark horse. They couldn’t get away with calling it a Shelby or a a boss. So this had to do. Then they kept the badger GT at bullitt levels. It’s crazy. 500 hp is s lot. It should be performing...
Great thought but missing the point.
Ford destroyed the vettes with the GT. But it’s also way more expensive.
the vette has become affordable while the mustang is getting pricey for no real reason.
the magic of the mustang is that it’s given you affordable 4 seats and livable convenience n a...
Bro. They’re sacrificing sales NOW. And have been since launch. Last month, they sold nearly 20% LESS than the same time last year. For a “all new” Mustang - as was pointed out. That should have been incredibly easy to beat, since the s550 was literally dying.
its not rocket science. Playing it...
lot course. The issue isn’t that you can buy a 2 seater ford. The issue is how ford dropped the ball by playing it too safe with the mustang. That was spotlighted with an example of someone else doing the opposite and reaping the rewards.
subject is mustang, pointing out how Ford could have...
incorrect. The OP has provided sales data. You’ve provided your opinion.
you don’t even parrot my points honestly. Everything is disingenuous with you.
I’ve provided the facts that c8 is selling well for a car that is notoriously a hard sell. And this comes after GM went hard with it rather...
incorrect. You are talking about personal preference. I’m following the topic talking about expectations and how Ford has set us up to be letdown, which in turn has cause sales to lag since launch.
I’ve given examples of how Ford could have done better by looking at another vehicle which has...
