why leave performamce on the table.
RWD in a high power front engine vehicle is just fighting itself for traction. Inefficient.
it’s 2024. Time to move things up a notch and make use of that power we’ve been getting. AWD systems now are fantastic.
that's a great question. why? Only if they have nothing special planned and are desperate. Teh finelneame being changed after discovery is a possible indicator.
I truly hope it's an actual Ford Performance product. Not some lame aftermarket deal.
it’s unfortunate.
I think there are a number of reasons, not the least of which was calling it a mustang.
but then there’s the tv market getting saturated, the possibility that those looking for an ev might not trust Ford in that segment as much as others such as Tesla
it’s a bit of a...
shelby has done trucks too, so why not?
it’s more than a concept. Will be available only in Europe at least initially. Only 100 will be built. It’s listed under Shelby Exports.
the 0-60 time will be a disappointment though. No sub 3 seconds here. LOL
Shelby does add … and I kid you not…...
the Mach e had a decent start, then sales dropped off a rather steep cliff. Not sure they want to to put more eggs in that basket. Likely the same “Mustang” marketing that gave it an initial boost is what caused the dropping as well. Not to mention confusing the market and hurting the actual...
no you didn’t. Go read what I quoted you on.
I didn’t alter any of your words. You made emphatic statements that RWD and ice are likely going away. You also stated that the next mustang will be more like the Mach e.
those are your ideas.
your statement “if that’s the only thing you’ll accept...
Of course. You must not have understood what you wrote.
You acted as if RWD and ice are what makes the mustang. I argued otherwise.
next, you argued that the next mustang would be more like the Mach e. I pointed out the flaw in that idea.
have a nice day.
As I’ve posted before, it doesn’t matter what the engine is. I’ve also advocated for AWD, so calm down, de-stress, and return to earth.
the Mustang is a sports caresque “pony car” that goes fast, handles well, is highly customizable, and looks great.
What it is not: a truck, motorcycle, suv...
I think so too. And that sucks. Rtr is another Rousch, Saleen, etc. but minus the engine upgrades. And the designs aren’t attractive. It’s all lighted pig nostrils. No thank you. Why Ford would hype an aftermarket tuner company at an official event is beyond me. We want something fro.m the...
looks too streamlined. The wing is more smooth than the dark horse.
the DH is what it is. This looks like something else. The way the fabric drapes on the sides of the front end looks like some similarities to the 2020 gt500.
but the hood looks low, like a supercharger is absent. So perhaps...
Hood line looks like it’s missing the telltale supercharger lift.
hopefully twin turbo V8.
electric hybrid likely. But hybrid + TTV8 would be insanely awesome.
The GTD can be for the Ferrari folks that prefer a Mustang.
A twin turbo Ford DOHC V8 for the rest of us. Dont forget the DCT and...
Neither RTR nor Saleen have put the level of transformation into the car that Shelby has.
and neither have put the level of class in either. Saleen has always been a favorite of mine, but they really went downhill lately. And Shelby has been a bit of a laughingstock in my in mind in the past...
